Cliches and life

I'm so sick of cliches... but its almost impossible to avoid using them... if you don't use cliches it might be impossible to get your msg across to your audience... we're having such a problem with our 30 second advert for safe sex at the moment... the idea goes comparing extreme sports with safe sex... basically you use safety equipment for extreme sports... therefore you should use safety equipment for sex as well... It ends with a couple holding hands and a condom appearing in their hands...

our lecturer's comments were that the ending was too bland for the advertisement... it was action all the way and ended with a very dull bang... my opinion... ever heard of CONTRAST? They suggested a bed shaking and a condom in view... thats like super cliched... and been used a million times... I don't want to do that... definately will think of another idea to end the advertisement with a bang...

think out of the box right... but it feels like people are just contributing towards making the damn box bigger... adhering to conventions and norms...

and yes... I'm slightly pissed off...
